Wordhoard is made by an independent developer. If something is not working, you have a question, or you have an idea that would make the app better, please get in touch. You will reach a real person.

Email dylann201909@gmail.com and you will normally hear back within a few days. When reporting a problem, it helps to include your device model, your Android version, and a short description of what you did and what happened.

Backing up your words

Everything you create lives on your device. Open Settings and use Save a backup to export a single file you can save anywhere. Use Restore on any device to bring those cards and progress back. Keeping a recent backup is the safest way to protect your hoard.

Importing your existing words

Wordhoard imports spreadsheets saved as CSV and cloze decks exported from Anki. Open Decks, tap Import and choose the file. Importing cards shows the exact format, with an example and a sample file.

A plain list of words is better pasted into Add words, where each word gets its meaning and an example sentence.

Studying offline

The dictionary is built into the app, so adding words and studying both work offline. Only playing a word's recorded pronunciation needs a connection.

Deleting your data

Because nothing leaves your device, you are always in control. Clear the app's data in your phone's settings, or uninstall the app, and it is gone. There is no account to close and no server holding a copy.
